Thomas Mc Tigue Office ProfileTom was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa. After earning his BA degree from Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas, he started as a financial representative with Northwestern Mutual in Kansas City, Missouri in 1976; Tom's involvement in the insurance industry goes back to several generations with his father and grandfather also being in the business. In 1979, Tom transferred to the Home Office in Milwaukee to head the Manpower Development Department. His duties entailed traveling throughout the country to over 400 agencies training and developing sales personnel. After four years in Milwaukee, he transferred to the Hawaii Network Office where he specialized in the professional market in estate and insurance analysis. Tom was appointed as the Managing Director in Hawaii in 1992. His responsibilities included developing manpower and expansion throughout the islands.Tom has won many company and industry awards over the years. The most recent award 2000 Life Insurance Professional of the Year - was presented by the Hawaii State Association of Life Insurance and Financial Advisors.Tom resides in Honolulu, HI with his three children: Liam, Kaya and Brock. Tom is an active member at the Outrigger Canoe Club; where he was head coach for the Women's Canoe paddling team, and served 6 years on the Board of Directors.
